Seeking Experienced Application Resiliency & Business Continuity Engineer – Remote in Mexico City

We are looking for a skilled Application Resiliency & Business Continuity Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join an exciting long-term project with a leading organization. This role is key to ensuring application resiliency, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies are properly designed, tested, and executed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain application resiliency strategies aligned with enterprise business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) frameworks.

  • Define, monitor, and validate Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPOs) for critical applications.

  • Lead and coordinate Disaster Recovery (DR) drills and database failover testing, ensuring full validation of systems and applications.

  • Document recovery procedures, track remediation actions, and ensure compliance with standards.

  • Drive application resiliency testing cycles, publish results, and present improvement plans.

  • Act as the primary point of contact during resiliency testing and recovery events, ensuring timely and clear communication with stakeholders.

Technical Skills Required:

  • Strong background in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) engineering.

  • Hands-on experience with database failover, resiliency testing, and infrastructure recovery planning.

  • Deep knowledge of RTO/RPO concepts and their practical application.

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage recovery events effectively.

  • Knowledge of cloud-based DR solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.

  • Fluent in English (Advanced).

  • Strong communication, teamwork, commitment, and proactivity.

Location & Schedule:

  • Remote work from Mexico City (Álvaro Obregón).

  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 hrs.
