Senior TeraData DBA Hybrid in CDMX- Benito Juarez/ Guadalajara

Functions:

• Collaborate with our Teradata database administration team to maintain DEV, UAT, PROD, and COB environments.
• Monitor and manage all Teradata infrastructure components, including backup servers, tape libraries, and DataDomain servers.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve software and hardware issues.
• Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to enhance database efficiency.
• Spearhead projects for upgrading existing infrastructure and deploying new systems.
• Improve system performance through query tuning and workload rule implementations.
• Design custom disaster recovery solutions to ensure data safety.
• Resolve complex customer-related issues with expertise.

Technical Skills Required:

• 5 to 8 years of DBA experience in Teradata core and applications.
• Advanced Conversational English C1/C2
• Strong hands-on experience with database setups, user roles, and substantial improvements in Teradata environments.
• Proficiency in SUSE Linux, Netbackup, and EMC DataDomain.
• Expertise in disaster recovery, workload management, and database cloning.
• Familiarity with utilities like Checktable, Scandisk, and configuration management.

Additional Skills:

• Solid background in security administration and audits.
• Capacity planning and forecasting abilities.
• Experience with performance data collection and reporting.
• Exceptional knowledge of Teradata control parameters and monitoring standards.
