Calypso - Treasury / Back Office - Functional Consultant - Semi Senior | Hybrid CDMX

We are looking for a Functional Consultant with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Accounting and Back Office / Settlement processes within Treasury or financial systems, ideally with exposure to end-to-end trade lifecycle processes and the ability to bridge functional accounting requirements with system configuration and operational settlement workflows, preferably in Calypso.

Must have skills:

• Accounting: translate requirements into system configs; map lifecycle from trading book & rules to GL entry.
• Read/interpret system-generated entries, validate vs model, and identify/resolve discrepancies in a structured, traceable way.
• Settlements / Back Office: knowledge of transfers, SDIs, approvals, and settlement processing.
• Configure and maintain these within a Treasury/Back Office platform.
• Strong netting knowledge: methods, manual and automatic netting.
• Manage/interpret Nostro cash & securities positions and inventory reporting.
• Experience with Calypso, Murex or similar platforms acceptable if strong accounting foundation and adaptability.

Nice to have skills:

• Familiarity with end-of-day valuation and accrual processes.
• Ability to trace and interpret system-generated accounting results to identify and resolve configuration gaps.
• Experience in post-trade operations, including financial messaging, exception management, reconciliation, and cash and securities position management across products.
• Understanding of financial instrument classification models and IFRS 9 concepts; extensive IFRS 9 expertise not required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• English Intermediate - Advanced (B2 - C1)
• Excellent communication, teamwork, commitment, and a proactive attitude

Location & Schedule:

• Hybrid work in Mexico City.
• Work hours Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00
