About the Role

BRP is seeking a Data Engineer to help elevate its analytics practice to the next level. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, enjoys working with cutting-edge tools, and is comfortable switching between multiple programming languages.

As a Data Engineer, you will play a central role in designing and implementing robust, scalable data solutions. You will help position data as a strategic asset for BRP by delivering world-class analytics platforms, enabling business intelligence, and supporting advanced analytics use cases.

Required Qualifications and Technical Skills
  • Master’s degree in Business Intelligence or equivalent

  • Experience working in large enterprises (10,000+ employees)

  • Strong, hands-on experience with the following technologies:

    • Snowflake

    • DBT

    • Microsoft SQL Server

    • Power BI

    • Git

  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including:

    • SQL

    • Python

  • Strong expertise in:

    • Data modeling and architecture

    • Design and development of robust ETL / ELT data pipelines

    • Writing, executing, and optimizing complex SQL queries

  • Experience implementing REST API-based service architectures

  • Ability to develop clean, maintainable code within a CI/CD environment

  • Experience using cloud BI technologies (Azure or similar)

  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into advanced data models supporting analysts and data scientists

  • Experience in data profiling

  • Experience working within Agile teams delivering big data and analytics solutions

  • Knowledge of and compliance with industry standards and regulations such as GDPR and SOX

Objectives and Deliverables
  • Design, develop, and support robust ETL/ELT and data pipeline solutions

  • Deliver scalable data architectures supporting analytics and BI use cases

  • Enable real-time and batch data ingestion from multiple data sources

  • Ensure high data quality, performance, and reliability

  • Support analytics teams with optimized, business-ready data models

  • Promote best practices in data engineering and analytics delivery

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and support robust ETL/ELT and data pipeline solutions

  • Coordinate with multiple development teams to meet delivery objectives

  • Support requirements definition, estimation, development, and delivery of scalable solutions

  • Develop and support real-time data ingestion processes from various sources

  • Build and maintain data models optimized for business intelligence usage

  • Develop integrations with external APIs (e.g., Google, Facebook, Salesforce, SAP)

  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations (GDPR, SOX)

  • Act as a leader in defining best practices and driving innovative, out-of-the-box solutions

Assets
  • Experience in manufacturing, transportation, automotive, or aerospace industries

  • Experience in international organizations operating across multiple continents

  • Experience in multi-site enterprise environments
