Senior Data Engineering Technical Lead – Informatica IDMC & AWS | Remote 2866

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineering Technical Lead with 8+ years of experience to lead and organize a team of data engineers and IDMC administrators. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Informatica IDMC Full Stack, AWS data services, data integration, data quality, and modern data platform architectures.

The ideal candidate will act as the technical reference for the team, driving data integration initiatives, defining technical standards and best practices, leading modernization projects, and ensuring the end-to-end delivery of enterprise data products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and organize a team of 9 engineers, including data integration developers and IDMC administrators.
  • Provide technical leadership for enterprise data integration initiatives using Informatica IDMC.
  • Lead the development of data pipelines using Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Mass Ingestion (CMI).
  • Extract, transform, and deliver data from heterogeneous source systems into Amazon Redshift and Denodo Data Marketplace.
  • Define technical standards, development patterns, architectures, and best practices.
  • Lead end-to-end development of data products, from source discovery and ingestion to curated models and governed datasets.
  • Oversee platform maintenance and support, including L2/L3 incident resolution, RCA, problem and change management, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and implement methodologies for ETL migration and modernization projects.
  • Lead workload assessment, migration strategy, conversion, validation, parallel runs, cutover, and rollback activities.
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders and provide technical estimations and proposal reviews.
  • Mentor data engineering teams and promote engineering best practices.

  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • Proven experience leading data engineering teams

  • Experience in financial or highly regulated environments
  • Experience mentoring teams of 5+ engineers
  • Strong technical leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Advanced English (mandatory)

Location & Schedule:

  • Remote position
  • Candidates must currently reside in Mexico
  • Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 hrs
  • Advanced English is mandatory
